The conference is organised in the premises of Education Department by the Catalan partner in Comp@ct, Departament d’Ensenyament (http://www.xtec.es/compact) in cooperation with the network partnership and will be held on the premises of the Education Department, Via Augusta 202.

Target Group

• teachers currently involved in COMENIUS 1 or 2 -projects dealing with ICT
• teacher trainers, inspectors, and representatives of resource centres and national agencies.

Benefits for Participants

• information and interesting practice on recent ICT developments in a chosen set of thematic areas and their current use in classroom practice
• opportunities to set up contacts with other projects and experienced teachers from all over Europe
• provision of insight into other interesting projects/ classroom experiences and practical approaches.

Costs

Conference fee is 350 - 450 € depending on the choice of accommodation.

There are 2 different options of staying:

• Martí Codolar (reservations for 40 persons); cheaper (more information will be availble soon)
• IBIS Hotel (reservations for 40 persons) 450 €

Funding

• using mobility grant of Comenius 1 project or
• financed by own resources.

Thematic Areas

• use of virtual learning environments in education
• best practice in collaboration via online media
• use of emerging technologies (streaming media, media on demand solutions, audio broadcasting) in education

Objectives

• to disseminate the results of the Comp@ct network to the COMENIUS community and policy makers
• to provide examples for collaboration via ICT and opportunities for reflection
• to provide a platform for dissemination of good classroom practice

Expected Outcomes

• a better visibility of innovative COMENIUS projects using ICT for educational purposes
• dissemination of results and experiences
• networking and creation of thematic clusters between COMENIUS projects actively using ICT
• promotion of further common initiatives.

Programme

Three working days of thematic conference offers you a lot of information, examples of good practice and allows you to experience some ICT usage on concrete level.
