European Label 2003 for Galician school

Galician partner of IPM Tools, C.P.I. O Cruce, was awarded the European Label for innovative projects in language teaching and learning in Spain. The Label was given because of innovative use of thematic web magazine "Europe, 25?". This initiative met the general criteria as being original and creative way of transnational collaboration, motivating learners and teachers to produce articles about the various issues of European Union and non-EU countries. This activity provided also language diversity when addressign the different topics, also by doing a small survey of values. Some pilot schools of Finland, Estonia, Slovenia and Lithuania together with Galician schools collaborated in this activity that was co-ordinated by headmaster Milagros Trigo of C.P.I. O Cruce.

In Spain the European Label awards were introduced widely by tv-companies and magazines that visited C.P.I. O Cruce in city La Coruña in middle of December to illustrate the school and its innovative methods in teaching.

The Ministery of Education will publish a book with the activities of European Label in Spain.
