Networking African and Finnish Schools is a project to develop new ways of cooperation between African and European schools. Cooperation started 2003 between South African and Finnish schools. In next phase during 2004 also schools from Namibia will join NetAFI. The role of information and communication technology is essential in project. Schools will use a new publishing and communication tool eJournal as their main project platform.

In cooperation with SchoolNet South Africa, NIED in Namibia and University of Jyväskylä project aims at developing eLearning contents and educational
applications.

COMP@CT

COMP@CT's principal purpose is to assist Comenius-schools to develop the use of ICT in their project work. The implementation of the web portal and other ICT tools will be the basic activity to ensure collaboration and communication. Thus the initial target group comprises Comenius schools and teachers.

IPM Tools

IPM Tools is Comenius 2.1 project for three years (2001 – 2004). This project aims at assisting the teachers in adapting web based learning and working environments and tools in classroom. The partners share the same web based learning and working environments and tools, in their own language versions.

ESP

European Schools Project ESP is a forum of ICT collaboration. There are hundreds of ESP projects in more than 25 countries. Participants are teachers and pupils from all school levels.
ESP exists since more than 14 years. In 1988 a pilot project was conducted in which the Augustinus College in Amsterdam participated, and a school in Telegraph Creek, British Columbia, Canada.
